Welcome
to Corn Close Care Farm
Several years ago, our professional and personal experience in education, farming and in working with vulnerable people inspired us to start welcoming friends and family to come and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of spending time with the animals and helping in the day-to-day running of the smallholding.
Such experiences have a powerful and positive effect on both physical and mental well-being, leading to improved confidence and self-esteem and the learning of new skills, along with the positive effects of spending time outdoors.
Others can share these benefits by visiting our newly established Care Farm based at our smallholding in the beautiful Nidderdale countryside.
We are a member of the Care Farming (Social Farms and Gardens) Organisation and their stated aim of ‘people and communities reaching their full potential through nature-based activities as part of everyday life’ encapsulates our vision for helping others on their journey to a fulfilling, enjoyable and meaningful life.
