It's not always what you see, but what you feel, that can make a difference!
Our visitor who has total sight loss came to see us twice at the farm whilst on a short holiday in Nidderdale.
She fully embraced the experience of being at the farm and soon got to work brushing the goats and feeding Bluebell the little calf.
Then, after a cup of tea and a quick lesson from our visitor in how to learn braille, it was back to work exercising the goats by taking them on a little walk around the field.
Our visitor also enjoyed collecting and smelling the different herbs that are grown at the farm, and feeling the texture of sheep's wool from our Grey faced Dartmoor sheep. She also told us that she would love to do some carding and wool spinning on another visit. We look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
